An amateur chef has sparked outrage after sharing the ‘easiest way’ to make a big batch of spaghetti without causing a ‘mess’ – by mixing it all together on her white kitchen counter.
The video, which is called ‘the Ultimate Spaghetti trick’ and has since racked up an impressive 24 million views, was originally posted on Facebook by Josh and Lisa, from the US, before being shared by YouTuber, Jarvis Johnson on Twitter.
The controversial chef known only as ‘Lisa’ starts the tutorial by explaining how she’s going to demonstrate ‘the easiest way to make spaghetti for a crowd’ because ‘you don’t have to worry about dishes or a mess.’
Moments later, she can be seen smearing her marble white kitchen counter in Prego tomato sauce, before piling on meatballs, Parmesan cheese and spaghetti – which she calls ‘noodles.’
Rather than grabbing a plate, she then mixes the ingredients together in front of her with a pair of wooden ladles and, delighted with her handiwork, enthuses: ‘How delicious does this look?’

To add the finishing touches to her homemade creation, she plonks bread and salad – complete with dressing – right into the middle of the mixture without even a moment of hesitation.
Looking like something out of a murder scene with her red-stained hands, Lisa insists that her creation is how ‘real Italians’ such as herself make spaghetti.
She adds: ‘This is the definition of family style.’
However, it appears that not everyone was in agreement with Lisa’s spaghetti-making hack, with many taking to the comments section to express their very differing views.
‘Pasta deserves better,’ wrote one, while a second penned: ‘This girl has clearly never done this before because white marble countertops CAN GET PERMANENTLY STAINED BY THIS.’

Social media users expressed their concerns that Lisa’s kitchen counter was going to be stained with the tomato sauce. Pictured left, and with added meatballs, right
A third questioned: ‘What trauma in these people’s lives caused them to hate plates so much?’ while a fourth noted: ‘Lol harder to clean that counter than a few plates.’
Another frustrated social media vented how they were ‘tired’ of people ‘wasting’ food online just for ‘attention.
Elsewhere, a further sarcastically penned: ‘Thank God someone finally simplified the complicated meal of premade meatballs, premade spaghetti sauce, pre-grated parmesan cheese, and spaghetti.’
However, others suggested that rather than being just a rather unusual kitchen hack, the concept could instead be some kind of mess fetish.
‘Someone on tiktok said this might be a mess fetish of some kind because of the male gaze and the sultry voice and honestly my life hasn’t been the same since,’ suggested one.
A second penned: ‘Honestly that’s what i assumed when i first saw the nachos video. like, this has either got to be some kind of weird fetish thing, or just someone making extremely dumb content on the internet for attention. those are the ONLY two options.’
