Fashion stylist Jules Sebastian has shared her simple recipe for a guilt-free lasagne using sheets of zucchini instead of pasta.

The TV presenter, from Sydney, shared an Instagram video showing exactly how she made the zucchini lasagne roll ups using zucchini, ricotta, parmesan, mozzarella cheese and Napoletana sauce.

To make the comfort dish, the mum-of-two used zucchinis as a substitute for pasta sheets, offering a guilt-free, low-carb version of the classic recipe.

How to make Jules Sebastian’s zucchini ricotta lasagne

INGREDIENTS

Zucchinis

Ricotta

Parmesan

Mozzarella cheese 

Napoletana sauce

Salt and pepper for seasoning

METHOD

Preheat oven to 180C.

In a bowl, mix ricotta, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper until they’re well combined, then set aside.

Slice zucchinis lengthways into thin slices.

Spread a spoonful of Napoletana sauce on the base of casserole dish.

Spread the ricotta cheese mix evenly on each zucchini slice, top with Napoletana sauce and mozzarella cheese. 

Roll zucchini slices up and line them in the dish. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and bake in the oven for 25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and golden

‘So easy, super healthy and the kids will have so much fun getting involved! Try this one,’ she wrote on her Instagram.

‘Enjoy your healthy lasagne,’ she added.

Her video has since been viewed more than 100,000 times, with many saying they couldn’t wait to recreate the dish at home.

‘Ooh this is a goodie for meatless Monday,’ one wrote, while another added: ‘Oh yum!! I love doing this with eggplant strips. Definitely going to try the zucchini.’
